Simple Ways To Organize Your House!

Hi Amazing Home Designers! Today I’m going to be teaching you guys some super simple ways to organize your home. I got inspired by the back to school season, and I know that organizing my house is tons easier when I have school supplies.  So lets get organizing!

  1. I like to write when I am going to clean or organize my house in my agenda, this way I feel obligated to do it.  I absolutely love my Lilly Pulitzer agenda. I have the small size which fits my needs perfectly.  If you don’t have an agenda, write it on a note pad and list things that  need to get done.
  2. I like to keep any papers and information from school or work in folders.  A tip is to get all different colored or patterns for different things. For example, mail could be in a blue colored folder and copy paper could be in a pink and white striped folder.
  3. I also love organizing things in bins or containers. These containers can be clear of colorful.  A super simple way to lable them is with post it notes. It also can add some bright color.
  4.  My last way to organize is to make something that is functional and helpful for you.  This is something personal completely for you.  I like to put things on my desk (just out in the open), so that I will get to it  faster.

I hope you enjoy and find these pictures helpful.  They are pictures that I found on HGTV of some in home offices.  I hope everyone has a wonderful school year, and remember to take time to organize your home!

Fall Home!

Hi home designers! Even though where I live has been super hot, its starting to look like fall.  Its just that something in the air that makes you feel warm and cozy when you think about the upcoming season. I want my home design for fall to be warm and cozy too. Here are some simple ways I decorate my home for fall:

  1. Add some warm blankets. Fall is sometimes chilly. What better way to bring that warmth into your home than to add a blanket.
  2. Play with some warm colors. You don’t have to do anything drastic to do this ether. It could just be something as simple as adding a leaf garland to your room or changing up magnet board or bulletin board pictures.
  3. Change your phone or computer’s wallpaper. Even though it only takes five seconds, it can make a BIG difference.
  4. Change the place mats and center pieces of your dinning room table. I’ve had center pieces be hand made crafts.  Its more fun and sentimental that way.
  5. Take the outdoors in. Find a great leave that you want to frame. Or make a bouquet of sticks.

I hope these ideas helped you be able to decorate your home simply for one of the best seasons of the year(in my opinion). Fall is very rustic, and I think all these decorations and ideas will help you achieve that feeling in your house. Happy early fall everyone!
